Old Vine Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Mucadelle and Chasselas sourced from great vineyards throughout the North Coast of California. Aromatically enticing with medium weight and a vibrant core of fruit Fresh, clean with bright acidity and a wonderfully weighted mid palate, Lemon Caper Halibut, Chicken Piccata.

Chenin Blanc, Clean, clear, refreshingly acidic with a small amount of residual sugar. Peaches bordering tropical notes. Apple Sorbets, Mandarin Orange and Goat Cheese, Pate with Toasted Bread.

85% Grenache, 15% Syrah, wild strawberries, blackberry jam, pepper and violets/raspberry, licorice, mineral and Provencal herbs/Dried raspberry, blackberry, clay, and smoke soft, supple and silky. Wine Braised Lamb Shanks, Stuffed Mushrooms with Proscuitto, Shallots & Sage.

Indaba Mosaic, Western Cape, South Africa 2015
blackcurrant, ripe brambly berry fruit, with subtle spice notes. Bouncy cherry and dark plum notes are laced with a licorice snap detail. Features a shot of toasted vanilla on the finish. Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Merlot and Malbec. Shepherd’s Pie, Veal Parmesan, Mushroom Risotto.

This ripe, fruity, full of black fruits and a lightly earthy character that shows in the acidity, the smoky aftertaste and silky tannins. Chilli con carne, Pot roast pheasant, Farmhouse cheddar.

Walnut Block, Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough, Australia 2016
aromatic notes of stone fruits over a herbaceous background. The smooth, textured palate, concentrated with exotic fruits and citrus flavors. Natural acidity leaves a pure and lengthy finish. Seafood with lime, chili and coriander, Thai fish cakes.

Encostas Do Lima, Vinho Verde Rosé, Portugal 2016
75% Souzao, 15% Borraçal, and 10% Espadeiro. This Vinho Verde Rosé has a bright pink color. The aromas of strawberry and raspberry subtle notes of citrus. Youthful but elegant, well-balanced, fresh, with a long, lingering finish. tapenade, grilled fish, or grilled shrimp.

Conundrum White Blend, California, 2015
Fragrant and juicy, honeysuckle, peach, apple, and lemon verbena, set on a light and effortless frame. Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Viognier, Semillon and Muscat Canelli. lobster, grilled swordfish, asian style duck, grilled chicken, roast chicken.

Pannonica Red Blend, Burgenland, Austria 2013
Blaufrankisch, Zweigelt, Pinot Noir.  Aromas of ripe, black cherries, baked plums, pepper, Flavors of juicy blackberries, hints of spice and soft tannins. Fresh acidity keeps the rounded fruit in check, BBQ or steaks.

Three Zinfandel, Contra Costa, California 2013
77% Zinfandel, 14% Petite Sirah, 6% Carignane, 2% Mataro, 1% Alicante Bouschet. Ripe black cherries and spice with a minerality (earthy berry) sneaking through. The mouth-feel is rich and balanced with a lingering peppery finish. Indian Spiced Short Ribs, Italian Spaghetti with red sauce and meatballs.

Manifesto Cabernet, California 2014
Aromas rich notes of black pepper and dark fruits on the nose. subtle notes of cassis and black olive black pepper and dark fruit flavors joined with hints of oak and vanilla. Asian BBQ Lamb Ribs, Beef Tenderloin with Blackberry Dressing, Grilled Steak with Salsa Verde.

Syrah, Grenache, Mourvedre. Beautiful ‘petal-of-rose’ colour.On the nose, dominating notes of fresh red fruit (strawberries, raspberries) and marsh-mallow. On the palate, nervy, very expressive. Seared Tuna, Ratatouille, Grilled Shrimp.

Bonterra, Chardonnay, Mendocino, California
An initial impression of rich, buttery cream quickly turns to aromas of honey and lightly toasted almonds, followed by tropical aromas of pineapple, citrusy lemon and crème brulee. Crab stuffed sole, Chinese deep fried Red Snapper.

Pacific Rim, Chenin Blanc, Columbia, Washington
Vividly bright with flavors of pear, quince and grapefruit essence with an eruption of floral aromas. An inspired complement to shellfish, grilled fish, soft cheeses and Middle Eastern food.

Kaiken, Reserva Malbec, Mendoza, Argentina

Around the World with Banfi
Hosted by Grace Reynolds Republic National Luxury Specialist for South Carolina.
With Grace as our guide, we’ll taste some greats from Banfi’s Italian portfolio, including the Belnero, Amarone, and Brunello, along with some of Banfi’s really interesting new world offerings, a Cabernet and a Chenin Blanc from Washington State, a Pinot Noir from Oregon, and a super classy Syrah-based blend from Chile. Banfi is one of the most prominent wine producers and importers in Italy, and are a family owned business who also imports and produces fine wines around the world.

Plump and ample in the mouth, while the aromas are laced with hints of struck flint, snow pea, celery leaf and gooseberry, all woven into fine balance and possessing a long, mouthwatering finish. Gazpacho, Smoked Salmon, Sushi and Sashimi.

Mayu, Pedro Ximenez, 2016, Elqui Valley, Chile
Stylish white wine that offers appealing floral and fruit aromas, with flavors balanced by fresh acidity, minerality and a long finish. It is best served with a range of foods, especially shellfish. Best known as a grape used to make sherries.

Trapiche, Oak Cask Malbec, 2015, Mendoza, Argentina
Blending soft, creamy fruit with polished oak and butter-soft tannins. The classic palate is

Sauvignon Blanc (60%), Sémillon (20%), and Cape Riesling (20%). A brilliant green. Aromas of asparagus and green figs. Off-dry lemony flavors with a crisp and fresh finish follow through on the palate. Go with Pesto Pasta, Leafy Green Salads.

La Luciana, Gavi, Piedmont, Italy
Cortese grapes produce remarkably elegant and crisp white wines, full of delicate flavors, hold notes of green fruits such as lime and greengage. Grilled Prawns, Pasta w/Basil & Pine Nuts.

Cercius Blanc, Côtes du Rhône, France
65% Grenache Blanc, 25% Sauvignon and 10% Roussanne. Medium-bodied, clean with bright acidity and good texture, it has lots of buttered grapefruit, sappy herbs, mint and hint of passion fruit. Pairs with Thai Green Chicken Curry, Grilled Halibut with Mango-Avocado.

Dark berries and leather on the nose. Taste of Cocoa/unsweetened chocolate. Smooth, rich and velvety. Lamb Curry, Spicy Pork Sausages, Ratatouille.

Dry and brisk in mouth-cleansing acidity, with soft tannins and rich flavors of dusty baking spices, blackberry puree, cherry compote, cola, shaved dark chocolate, red licorice and a savory coating of toasted cedar wood. Great accompaniment to barbecue, game, roasted chicken, stews and lasagna.
